FAQ
Useful answers about what you can check on the site and how to understand the results.
What does Domain Health check?
Domain Health combines DNS, DNSSEC, CAA, HTTPS/TLS, basic security headers and mail-related checks into one overview. Each finding links to the dedicated tool for deeper analysis.
What does Email Security inspect?
It checks MX, SPF, DMARC, DKIM when a selector is provided, plus MTA-STS, TLS-RPT and BIMI using public DNS and policy information.
What does DNS Propagation mean here?
The check compares the same record across independent global public resolver networks and authoritative DNS. It does not claim a physical probe ran from a specific country.
What can I check on this site?
You can inspect a public IP, domain or hostname and view information such as approximate country/city, ISP, ASN, reverse DNS and other network data.
Can I check another IP instead of only my own?
Yes. Enter a public IPv4 or IPv6 address in the search box and run the lookup.
Can I enter a domain instead of an IP address?
Yes. You can enter a domain or hostname and the site will resolve it and show the relevant information.
How accurate is IP geolocation?
IP geolocation is an estimate. It can point to a nearby city, an ISP network location or a general area rather than a physical street address.
Is the map using GPS?
No. The map is based on the approximate location associated with the IP address, not the device GPS.
Does the site support IPv4 and IPv6?
Yes. IPv4 and IPv6 lookups are supported when data is available for the target.
What can DNS Lookup check?
It can inspect common records such as A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT and CNAME to help understand how a domain is configured.
What can I check with DNS Checker?
You can select A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, TXT, SOA, SRV, CAA, PTR, DS or DNSKEY, or use ALL for a broader view. You can also compare public resolvers with authoritative DNS servers.
What does Port Check do?
Port Check tests whether a TCP connection can be established to the selected port on a public target. It is useful for services such as HTTPS, SMTP or a custom application.
What does SSL Check show?
It shows TLS/SSL certificate information such as subject, issuer, validity, SAN names and expiration.
What is the difference between Ping and Traceroute?
Ping helps measure reachability and latency. Traceroute shows the network path to the destination and can help investigate routing or latency issues.
Why can Ping or Traceroute differ from another computer?
Network results depend on where the test originates, routing paths, destination policy and the providers between the source and destination.
What does Subnet Calculator do?
Enter an IPv4 CIDR and it calculates network, netmask, broadcast, address range and network size.
What can I see in HTTP Headers?
You can inspect HTTP/HTTPS response headers such as redirects, caching, content type and other headers returned by the website.
What is Whois / RDAP?
It is public registration data for a domain or IP range, depending on what the relevant registry publishes.
Why does my public IP sometimes change?
Mobile networks, VPNs, proxies, CGNAT and dynamic ISP addressing can cause your visible public IP to change.
Can I open the location in Google Maps or OpenStreetMap?
Yes. After a location is found, the map buttons can open the coordinates in an external mapping service.
Does the site work on mobile?
Yes. The interface is responsive for desktop, tablet and phone, with full Hebrew/English RTL/LTR support.
Is there a developer API?
Yes. A JSON API is available for IP data. Usage details and examples are available on the API page.
Are VPN / Proxy / Hosting results always definitive?
No. These classifications are based on network intelligence datasets and should be treated as indicators rather than absolute proof.
