Privacy & Data Use
Connection and target data are used to perform the checks you request. More information is available on the privacy page.
Information required for a check
To display your public IP, the service receives the source address of the connection. When you run a lookup or another network tool, the IP, domain or hostname you submit is used to perform the requested check.
IP-based location
IP geolocation is approximate and is not equivalent to GPS. It may point to a city, region or an ISP network location.
Data and map services
Some checks may use external data sources for geolocation, RDAP, weather or map data. Opening a Google Maps or OpenStreetMap link takes you to the external service you selected.
Cookies and preferences
The site may use a session cookie and local browser preferences for language, theme and normal interface operation.
Sensitive information
You do not need to enter passwords, private keys or sign-in credentials for the services you are testing.
